An interfaith and ecumenical delegation from Baltimore met with Pope Francis March 2 in Rome following the pontiff’s general audience.

“It’s an opportunity for us to focus collectively and uniquely on a variety of issues and possible resolutions,” Father Donald Sterling said.

“He followed what the church believes and teaches,” Archbishop Lori said.

Scalia said it wasn’t his job to make policy or law, but to “say only what the law provides.”

The Catholic Church is providing a welcome and a place of refuge for them at a time when many in the wider society want them to go home.
