Every so often I am asked how I started in photography. The short answer is an unlikely trinity: Dad, “Uncle Walt” and Father Marcel – in that order.

Thanks to a partnership with Catholic Charities USA and Ford Motor Company, Catholic Charities in Baltimore, Arlington and Washington and will be able to provide curbside assistance to area homeless and poverty-stricken communities for one week each month.

That describes Lynn Thomas and Brian Yeatman, who were married by Father Jeffrey Dauses during 5 p.m. Mass Aug. 19 at St. Andrew by the Bay in Annapolis.

Last week I told the boys that today would be our pilgrimage day—that we would pick a destination and go pray for a great school year.

As I stood on the ground and watched them go up, I was suddenly scared. God has entrusted my husband and me with raising these two amazing children, and I just put them on a ride that would take them far up into the sky.
