The Archdiocese of Baltimore announced Feb. 10 the elimination of 25 positions at the Catholic Center. Among the positions, 14 were vacant and will not be filled; 11 people were laid off, although some may be transferred to other positions within the archdiocese.

Change coming to prayer at Mass

Observant Mass-goers will detect a change in one of the prayers used at Mass beginning Ash Wednesday when priests will begin omitting the word “one” in the concluding doxology of the collect prayers that currently are translated as “…in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.”
