Baltimore Catholic school players in NFL at a glance September 1, 2022By Gerry Jackson Catholic Review Filed Under: Feature, Local News, News, Schools, Sports As the NFL regular season nears its kickoff, several former Baltimore-area Catholic high school players were battling for spots on pro football rosters. Here’s a look at some of those who honed their skills on the local gridiron worth keeping an eye on this fall: Kyle Fuller (Courtesy Baltimore Ravens) Baltimore Ravens Kyle Fuller, 30, cornerback from Virginia Tech and Mount St. Joseph High School. Fuller, in his first season with the Ravens, has played seven years in the NFL with the Bears (six years) and Broncos. Green Bay Packers Adrian Amos Jr., 29, free safety from Penn State and Calvert Hall College High School. Amos, in his fourth season with the Packers, has played seven years in the NFL, including his first four with the Bears. New York Jets Lawrence Cager, 25, wide receiver from Georgia, Miami (Fla.) and Calvert Hall College High School. Cager played in two games with the Jets as a rookie and one last season with the Cleveland Browns. Cager mad the Jets final 53-man roster, moving to tight end for the regular season. Deonte Harty. (Courtesy New Orleans Saints/Trent Spann) New Orleans Saints Deonte Harty, 24, wide receiver and return specialist from Assumption College and Archbishop Curley High School. Harty, who recently changed his name from Harris to honor his stepfather, has played in 36 games for the Saints in three seasons and was named a first-team All-Pro in 2019. Kansas City Chiefs Joshua Kaindoh, 23, defensive end from Florida State, Our Lady of Mount Carmel High School and IMG Academy. Kaindoh, who attended Mount Carmel in Essex before transferring to IMG in Florida, played in three games as a rookie for the Chiefs last season after recovering from an injury. Tennessee Titans Chance Campbell, 22, linebacker from Maryland, Mississippi and Calvert Hall. Campbell, at 6-foot-3 and 235 pounds, was drafted in the sixth round by the Titans in the 2022 draft. Julius Chestnut, 21, running back from Sacred Heart University and Archbishop Spalding High School. Chestnut, signed as an undrafted free agent, had an impressive debut with 44 yards rushing in the preseason opener against the Ravens. Chestnut earned a spot out of preseason on the Titans’ 53-man roster.
